What Texas recruits is your school interested in?

I know LSU may grab one because of Mack stepping down, who do you think your respective school will attempt to go after now?

I highly expect almost all of these recruits to stay with Texas. Most are from Texas and committed Bc of the school and NOT Mack Brown

I thought some information came out saying he may never play football again due to an injury. Texas did say that they were going to honor his scholarship offer no matter what though, which was a very classy thing to do.

Longhorns don't have many SEC quality recruits. Expect there are only 2 or 3 the Aggies would take.

I think he means a recruit that at one point was a strong Texas lean, but now has eliminated Texas b/c of Mack Brown stepping down.

Not all SEC schools recruit at the same level FWIW. "SEC quality" means nothing.

Jerrod Heard-QB
Nice dual threat QB that led his team to a State Title last year and may repeat. Better legs than arm. A&M not interested because we have Kyle Allen.
Derrick Roberson-DE
Solid DE prospect but a little undersized. A solid pickup though.
Armanti Foreman-WR
Solid WR prospect. Not great but solid. A bit undersized but a speedster.
Donald Catalon-RB
Don't know anything about him.
Lorenzo Joe-WR
Solid but unspectacular
John Bonney-s
In a year of great DB's in Texas he isn't one of them.
Otaro Alaka-LB
May be the most interesting of the group, though not necessarily the highest rated. A&M is after him hard and he apparently holds LSU, Florida State, Ole Miss, and Michigan offers to name a few.

Great prospect at one point but not sure is he will ever play.
Zaycoven Henderson-DT
Undersized DT, not a bad prospect. Has offers from Ole Miss and Arky.

I figured A&M would be salivating after the Mack fiasco. I feel it would be an easier transition to A&M than anywhere else

Only guy we really want is Alaka. We would take Foreman or Roberson too. Don't need Heard or any of the rest. Would have taken Shorter before but can't imagine we would now.
Texas wasn't really in on many of the real heavyweights this year, not in a serious way. They got Foreman mainly because they got his brother the year before. Taking Slone Teuhema so they can get his brother next year as well. Sumlin hasn't done any of the package stuff so far.
