From what I've read, granted it's on the rant, it sounds like Georgia has sold either the least or one of the least amounts of bowl tickets even below MSU, OM, and Vandy

I have better plans for New Years than waking up at 7 to drive to Jacksonville.

never..I mean NEVER NEVER NEVER buy bowl game tix from the Ath Dept..those tix suck and are too expensive...show up and, believe me, you can pick up excellent tix for sometimes next to nothing..

sponsors get good tix and lots of those folks never attend..

Who gives a flying frick. If it's not a high profile bowl, UGA shouldn't be playing. I wish our Athletic Department would decline the invitations to play in these shitty bowls. Jacksonville on New Years???? I'll be there... you betcha... frick....

And before you Disney's start with the... it's not for the fans, it's fore the seniors and the players horseshite, the object of these games is to make money. UGA is not making enough money in Jacksonville to call this acceptance a success.

Am I out of line? Every UGA fan that I know, and have talked to, or have heard speak about this match up; is completely uninterested in this game. This is horse shite.

Upset we are in a shitty game? No that's fine but the extra practice time is very valuable so no don't decline bowl invites ever

Just stop. The school gets money, the players get a month of valuable practice time, and we get one more game as fans. You don't turn down a bowl game because you think you're better than it, no matter how bad we got screwed this year. You sound like a fricking moron.

I don't know about BCS Bowl tickets but this is true of all other bowls and the SEC CG...a Buddy and I buy 4 SEC CG Tix every year and have since it came to Atlanta the first time....we have excellent seats on the 40 in the mezzanine section where they have waitresses....SWEET!!! If UGA is inthe game I buy them from him, if UF is in the game he buys 'em from me, and if neither is in the game my niece sales them for us....we have sold this tickets for as little as $50 per seat....I couldn't give two of them away the year we played Arkansas.....Bowl tickets are easy to score...especially Outback tix and Cap One tix.....If you pay more than $50 for them you paid to much and your seats will be MUCH better than the seats the University sales....

While Georgia has sold about 7,000 tickets so far, according to the school, Nebraska isn’t close to that. As of Friday, 2,759 tickets were sold by the school, according to the Lincoln Journal Star.

The Georgia ticket numbers include 5,100 purchased by fans and 1,900 by the Georgia Athletic Association including those for player families, band and administration. Georgia’s allotment is 15,000

I wouldn't be surprised if they did this they wouldn't be in violation of contract terms with the conference or the bowl or both. I doubt if the schools can turn down a bole "invite"....

I remember reading where we lost money going to Hawaii for a bowl years ago and GT apparently loses money going to San Francisco to play in the nut bowl....you wouldn't think they would go if they had a choice in the matter....

Yea. It sets a terrible precedent for one. You'll have less bowls want you to come in and resentment woud build toward Georgia. It's another game for the seniors and fans but most importantly it gives this team another month of practice it sorely needs. The last reason alone is why you are so incredibly, blatantly wrong with your opinion.

Do you not even see how you contradicted yourself in your own post?

Wow. Credibility is plummeting....even for a doomsayer like yourself. How many times has the sky fallen for you this past week?

Could it be because every fan you talk to are buddies of yours and they share the same "Sky is falling" philosophy of life that you hold? All you have to do is read this thread and you see people that disagree with you. Could it be that MAYBE there are more out there? maybe you should travel in a different circle of friends. Maybe you would see a brighter, more positive world.

I'm pretty sure they can. However...as for the Hawaii trip losing money...wouldn't it be a great recruiting pitch to tell a kid we went to Hawaii last year! (Although, I don't recall us going to a bowl in Hawaii.

However, Bowl monies are split between all 14schools of the SEC. we NEVER lose money on bowls.
