....in your minds as far as all-time great AU RBs?

We all know who holds the #1 spot, but where would you place Tre?

Call me crazy, but I'm having a hard time finding a reason to not place him in the #2 spot...

What sayeth you barners?

What would Cadillac, Kenny Irons, etc do in Malzahn's offense?

Whoa. You ready to throw Tre up there over guys like Cribbs and Stephen Davis?

I realize it's a different style of offense, but the numbers gotta count for something

But the actual reason is that I was born in the 90s and don't remember any football before the Tubs era

I only speak what I know and he is my number 1 running back since I got to school in 96.

I would personally put him above Ronnie Brown and Cadillac for college backs and I think he will be a productive NFL back some day. He earned my respect last year getting 1k in a shite year with a shite offense.

If he comes back for his SR year, he moves way up the list.

Fair enough, sir. I probably just have extra man crush on Stephen Davis b/c he helped take us to the super bowl.

Would have loved to have seen that showcase

Another interesting thought too...how much better, if any, would Tre's #s be if he had a defense like those guys had?

If Bowden hadn't gone full retard Davis' senior year he could've been a heisman candidate. He was one bad man.

I'm a big fan of Tre and all, but he's not even in the same ballpark skillwise as Bo, Fullwood, Davis, Brooks, Cribbs, or Caddy. Stick any of those guys in Gus's offense and you'd have some serious Tecmo numbers.

Yeah Dyer had a great chance to break a lot of AU records. After his breakout freshman season he could've been a lock for top 5 in this discussion. The thing Tre does well is avoid contact. He never takes big hits unless he's giving it. He reminds me a lot of Warrick Dunn nothing flashy but you look up in the 3rd quarter and the is already over 100 yards every week.

He's one of the best in the nation but we're RBU and he's down the totem pole a bit

If he comes back he has a chance to be very near to the top, but I don't know if he is number 2 right now.

I think what impresses me about Tre is yards after contact. It's like the dude is possessed when he's got the ball
