All these Texas rumors have given me some perspective

The auburn loss was devastating, not gonna lie. It hurt, knowing how close we came, and now having to watch the barners play for it all. I did't think the season was a failure or anything like that, but I was quite disappointed.

however, since the whole rumor mill got going, it made me realize how good we have it here with Saban, and how glad we should be just to have him here.

We certainly have a lot to look forward to: an upcoming bcs bowl against a quality opponent, and what will hopefully be an exciting 2014 season.

Even if Saban stays, it will be somewhat of a fresh start I think. New quarterback, new playoff system, and a huge weight lifted off of our players of having to repeat as national champions.

though with that being said, he gone

I'm excited about this. I honestly don't think about it throughout my daily life but the time I allot to football has been rather stressful lately. With the loss the way it happened and now all of this Texas stuff I'm ready for an end to it all.

I obviously hope he stays but if not I think the new start will be fun. FTR I'd like to see what Kirby could do. I'd really enjoy seeing the transition of his tenure.

On a side note, I think there's a very good chance Saban leaves. It's not his job to worry about the fans but I'd have to imagine most any coach would put an end to all this "drama." He hates media writing the script and he has a ridiculous recruiting class he's trying to sign. Plus he HAS to realize Alabama has some stressed out fans. If he doesn't want to leave, why wouldn't he say "holy shite guys, I ain't leavin."

Because he most likely has nothing to do with the negations. He is out recruiting his tail off and most likely occasionally talks to Sexton on the phone.

Remember this is a guy who complains about national championship games interfering with recruiting. I doubt he cares about being too involved in contract negotiations.

Not sure if I'll be ostracized for this, but why not bring in Chizik at D-Coordinator? Dude has always been a solid coordinator.
