First things first, hello to all the LSU and Auburn fans who are camped out waiting for us to melt. Sorry this will not be one of those threads.

An Auburn buddy of mine this morning brought something interesting to my attention. In the current state of the SEC we have the #2 ranked Auburn Tigers preparing to go to the BCSCG after an almost impossible 1 year turn around from being one of the worst teams ever in SEC play, to being the best. However, when you look at tSECRANT what is the hot topic? Bama and Saban. Go to the CC board...Bama and Saban. I listened to JOX this morning and yesterday afternoon and it was all Bama and Saban.

From my limited pool of data I have to pull from (co-workers and Facebook) all the talk now is about the Alabama/Saban situation and no one is talking about Auburn.

I bet Gus is very happy with that state of events. The longer they can fly under th radar the longer they can play the "us against the world" card.

We have 3 sports talk radio stations in Nashville (that I know of). My wife and I went to lunch earlier and I changed stations every time a commercial came on. Every change was to a station talking about Saban and/or Mack Brown. When we got to where we were eating, ESPN was on talking about Saban and/or Mack Brown. More of the same on the radio for the drive home.

It is really getting boring.

What do you think people are going to talk about? A football game next month or a major coaching change that could happen any day?

Well, in Nashville they could talk about a coaching change with the Titans. Basketball. Recruiting.

Thing is: Saban ain't going to Texas. Every radio station I listened to agree he isn't leaving. But still, they talk about it.

Last year at this time we were talking about every bowl game the SEC was involved with in addition to talking, in depth, to how Alabama was going to manhandle ND. Draw your own conclusions,

Well the rants only purpose is to flame, and since it's about bama, you're gonna get all the tiger rant rejects starting threads about it and flaming the whole situation. As for the media, they read the rant.

Haters all of the country just want to troll Bama. It's a slow sports news cycle right now. Once Saban signs his extension all we will hear about it Auburn Vs. FSU.
