Where is Gene Chizik now???

Just was discussing this last night with a buddy of mine. The guy has to be the worst HC in NCAA histroy to have won a BCS NC. He takes full credit but we all know it was Gus and Cam's NC
Also Where is that mustached DC VanGorder that yall had last year that was susposed to work wonders?

Chizik still lives in Auburn...Van Gorder is LB coach for the Jets I think...

he's on Sirius/XM radio occasionally on the college sports station. he's actually not too bad on the radio... or at least better than I thought he'd be.

Didn't most all of Chizik's staff pre and post NC land a job?

We actually don't hate Chizik even though we went through some shite at the end of his reign. Good guy from all accounts, loves Auburn and seems to stay out of the politics of things.

Yeah. I'm grateful to him, and I give him credit for the natty. It doesn't just go to him, but I can see how he steadied the ship during some challenging days. Wish him well.

X2 and to be fair when Malzahn left I don't blame Chizik for trying the pro-style offense because quite frankly where are you going to get another Gus Malzahn it's not like there's a lot of people that can do what he does.

He's living in Auburn. Chizik's a good guy, good defensive coach, but not who I want helming my program.
I'm glad he hired Gus and hope he lives out the rest of his days in peace and fulfillment

Chiz is on XM 91 College Sports and actually does a pretty good job, I enjoy listening to him.

From the interview its sounds like he's living pretty well. I have no hard feelings against Chiz. Not a bad guy, just didn't work out.

Yep. You'll be hard pressed finding an Auburn fan that has bad feelings about Gene. He loves Auburn. Just not the guy I want as head coach.
