I'm friends with Marc Torrence, the sports editor for the Crimson-White. A lot of you may smirk but the guy knows people as he's in all the press conferences with all the media types every single day. He's got a good rapport with the Athletic Department as well. I talked to him on Facebook a couple of hours ago after that tweet popped up and he told me Saban isn't going anywhere.

I heard Barrett Jones on the radio tonight and the guy asked him straight up do you think Nick will leave and he responded with a, "I definitely don't think he is going anywhere."
He said he doesn't have any direct insight on it, but out of all the former players I would believe him the most.
His family has always been pretty close with Jimmy Sexton and I think he is actually his agent now.

I am friends with Marc as well. He played guitar in my church's praise band for a bit. I also interviewed him for some primary research for my PR campaigns class. I def agree that he is to the point where you could consider him a decent source. I saw him tweet tonight that a 5-star recruit, Matt Elam, said that he was told by Saban that he was staying at Bama. It was linked to a 247 story. I think we can breathe easy everyone.

That seems to be one of the overlooked things is that I feel like there would be some hint from all the recruits he has spoken to in the last week or so if he was leaving.

I also think that if there was a feeling he was leaving then someone on the team would be tweeting about it. Although, when Fran left none of the players really had a heads up.
Fran is still a piece of shite, btw. He quit on his team a couple weeks ago. Took his headset off with like 10 mins left in the 4th qtr. Also, some folks at the Troy game heckled him about holding the rope. good times.
