Come on Johnny Football!!!!

He is the SEC's only hope for representation this year, isn't he?

Honestly I think Tre Mason is more deserving. But neither will win - it's Winston and it won't be close.

i don't expect him to win either, but the 6 guys who get invited are the top 6 guys in the heisman voting, no? the fact that he is that high in the voting is a joke.
AJ got invited to New York. Bunch of jimmies rustled.

Could easily have been voting for him just to get him there.

Congratulations to all finalists.
Being invited to NYC is no small feat--the culmination of hard work, as well as being surrounded by supportive family, coaches, & teammates.

yeah, similar to the Bama fanbase reaction when Tyrann Mathieu was invited in 2011

I believe we all thought he deserved the invite, but made it clear him winning would be a travesty since DT didn't win.

That just means that after the top 1 or 2 candidates, the vote is really spread out.

the most popular comment i heard was something along the lines of him being overrated, not even the best player on his own team, etc. i don't think anyone ever thought he had a chance to win it.

So basically they said, Winstons gonna win. JM has to be invited as returning winner, let's just invite some guys to have a good time. Wonder if JW gets the penthouse and everyone else is staying in NJ.

Clearly JJ was the heart and soul of the 2011 Tigers.

I'm just saying , do you really think they want 1 guy there.

Second place won't be close , not even a little bit.

well of the ballots collected by stiffarmtrophy.com, Manziel is currently in 11th

He hasn't been in discussion for some time...they invite all Heisman winners back for the ceremony

A real travesty is when you have the Heisman QB candidate and Unitas winner not on the top two SEC All American teams.

A guy who runs the Heisman watch website said that they determine attendees by the drop off in votes between the places. So after 3 if there's not a big drop off between three and 4, they invite 4. If there's not a sharp drop off between 4 and 5, they invite 5. I forget what the max was.

IOW, it could still not be really close and still have a lot of attendees.

In 2004, they only invited Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart (the previous winner) and Vince Young. Bush was 1st on 784 of 882 ballots.
