Not saying they deserve to be in the title game, but they are. If OSU (or anyone else in a bcs conference besides LSU for that matter) had been undefeated in '11, Bama still would have been the best team in the nation but not playing in the game. Fate allowed them to prove it in '11, and not this year. Can anyone honestly disagree?

And yes, I can disagree. They do have the most NFL draft picks, but they aren't the best "team" this year. Their D-line/DBs are lacking for Saban's scheme.

Not an Alabama fan, so no meltdown. Kind of just stating what should be obvoius. A loss on the road in the last seconds of a game that the coach seemingly lost on purpose by not kicking a short field goal and then trying an impossibly long one as time expired doesn't prove to me that they aren't the best team.
On a neutral field, they would be favored over any other team and rightly so.
If you think one game proves one team is better than another, that's fine, but 2011 and every NFL season kind of disproves that notion.

Yes. We should award Nat'l Champs by the opinion of who is best. Maybe start a poll of sportswriters or coaches.
