Stoops earlier this year called out the SEC. Well now his Sooners get to take on the Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl.

"Just a few years ago, we had all the quarterbacks," Stoops said in a small session with beat reporters, according to The Oklahoman. "And now, all of a sudden, we can play a little better defense and some other people can't play defense.

"Funny how people can't play defense when they have pro-style quarterbacks over there, which we've had. They're all playing in the NFL right now."

Bob Stoops became the Head Coach of Oklahoma in 1999. Let's look at his record vs at the time SEC Teams. I'm not counting Missouri and Texas A&M while they are in the Big 12.

1999:
Independence Bowl vs Ole Miss. Loss 27-25

2001:
Cotton Bowl vs Arkansas. Won 10-3

2002:
Home vs Alabama. Won 37-27

2003:
at Alabama. Won 20-13
BCS National Championship vs LSU. Loss 21-14

2008:
BCS National Championship vs Florida. Loss 24-14

2012:
Cotton Bowl vs Texas A&M. Loss 41-13

2013:
Sugar Bowl vs Alabama.

So ultimately at the moment he is 3-4 against the SEC. 1-4 in Bowl games vs them. Couldn't even tell you he beat Arkansas or Alabama. Thanks though. Time to get your revenge Bama.

They robbed us in Norman that year. They had a big lead at the half then Alabama ran it down their throats and got 14 points called back on holding calls at the goal line. Very questionable calls.

Big Game Bob might want to pull that foot out of his mouth though I'm pretty sure Bama will find another "location" to insert it...

The Indy Bowl used to field some pretty decent teams and good games.

I will be a huge Bama fan for this game. I hope they completely and utterly destroy Oklahomo. I hate Bob Stoops.

He talked about SEC all year long and got his wish. Too bad they have to face Bama. Bama will annihilate them.

Maybe, after the game an irate OU fan will spray paint "SEC SEC" on Big Game Bob's car too.

Stoops, tonight:

"Well I'm not playing the bottom half," Stoops said on a media teleconference. "If the SEC is Alabama, there's nothing to talk about, right? If you want to say the SEC is Alabama, then sure. They're the ones that won all the national championships or most of them.

"Now if you want to play the bottom half, that's a different story. But we're not playing the bottom half, are we? So there's not a lot to talk about, is there?"
