Missouri finishes 3rd in the conference in the BCS standings and played in the championship game, but gets the 5th best bowl. That sounds about right.

Do y'all realize how big this is? It is the last BCS ranking. Ever. This will be the stuff of legend, and trivia. Verne will be asking this on the Aflac question 10 years from now!
I'm just kidding about that last part. Verne will be dead by then, but still. It's a big deal.

I'd prefer the extra money and prestige from a better bowl over being a trivia answer. Mizzou finished #6 in the 2007 BCS standings and went to the Cotton Bowl then, too. The Cotton Bowl seems to be the highest Mizzou will ever get.
