I think we should keep all the discussion in one thread so it will make it easier for others to figure plans out and find deals on tickets and travel. And if you know of personal tickets for sale you can post them in here as well as advice for others on saving money

I'll request a sticky for this

Yeah that's great and all.. but who is going to spend $450-750 on airfare plus another $350 minimum on hotel and $100 on food when they don't have a guaranteed ticket in their hand.

Great idea in theory but the risk for doing that is outrageous.

Just a little heads up, with all the bad weather early on this winter in the north, if you're gonna connect flights and it's less than 2 days before the game then make sure you're connecting through Houston or Dallas and not Denver or Chicago.. the snow storm almost ruined AU fans trips to Glendale and it would suck to see that happen to someone on here.

You're right. I guess it's one of those high risk high reward type deals. If you're someone who just wants to be in Pasadena to kinda soak in the atmosphere, it's not that big of a deal but if going to the game is important you might not go this rout

I know some people got burned by travel agencies during the Glendale so I would be very careful about who I gave money to

I'm not going but I'll try to post info that I come across that may be helpful to those who are and all I ask in return is that those who are there share as many pics and info as they can

Talked to a friend of mine who went in 09 and said 10 min tues into the game the tickets being sold outside the stadium were going for less than face. Risky playing it that late but greater reward too

Am I reading this right? Looks about like $1600/person for airfare, Accomodations, and tix to the game?

Don't think tickets are included. For Airfare & Hotel it's around 3k.

Tickets are included in most packages I've seen.

Not that package that was linked. Overall it's going to cost over $4-5k to go with two people not including money for food, apparel and other items.

The packages available through Auburn do not include tickets to the game, they include a few extras like souvenirs and stuff though.

My friend and I started putting together everything for '10 and the best we came up with for the trip for each of us to go was about 2k each. I really wish we managed this to fall on the Sugar bowl or Orange Bowl and i would really push to go.

Family of four costs about $8K? Probably buy my wife a new car for Xmas this year instead. She needs a new one.
