3 straight Big Ten titles and Rose Bowl games and their coach leaves and only one year later they're Citrus Bowl with 18 returning starters off the 2012 team.

tDecline is real up there. 2015, LSU and Wisconsin in the tDecline bowl.

?

They were terrible last year, returning starters is pretty meaningless.

They were supposed to be really good this year. Even before Bielema left he was saying this would be the best team he had ever had at Wisconsin. They definitely had a disappointing year from what they were expecting.

I think "terrible" is a pretty strong word for what they were last year. All their losses were really close games and three were OT. It's not like they were getting blown out.

They lost to penn state last year who had all their talent transfer.

Not good last year, not good at all. Fluke title in everybody's mind but AR. Wisky fans probably don't even claim it.

penn state was waaaaay better than should have been last year. won a bunch of games.

not gonna defend the merits of wisky's title, but they were a good team in a lot of close games.

Returning starters is meaningless? You're basically saying recruiting/talent doesn't matter.

They returned only 8 starters from the 2011 team and pretty much had an entire new staff.

and no, they weren't terrible. Their biggest margin of defeat was 7 points and they might have been benefit of NCAA sanctions, but they didn't have the Big 10 title handed to them, they won the Championship game.

Like I said, you are overstating how 'bad' they were. They weren't an outstanding team but they were a lot better than you are saying they were.

Wasn't that when they dropped 70 on Nebraska?
