I usually don't give a shite about what Ole' Dr Lou says but here is a member of the media who said on College Football Wrapup and said that if he were picking his 4 for the playoff system, he would have it as follows:

1. FSU
2. Alabama
3. Michigan State
4. Auburn

He said he would put Auburn at number 4 so the SEC doesn't play each other in the first round and that head to head doesn't matter.

Him and Corso need to spend the rest of their days playing checkers in front of a cracker barrel.

And this would still be the most entertaining and fun football show on ESPN. The sport of college football will be the worse when either of them go.

Hey Lou, Auburn just won the SEC Championship! What is your reaction?

I wouldn't be so mad bro, Auburn did get lucky vs. UGA and if you played Bama 10 times you might win 2 or maybe 3.

Lou Holtz thinks the best 2 teams are Bama & FSU, and he is right.

CFB doesn't work like NFL playoffs though.

But AU did lose to LSU who Bama beat.

LOU IS JUST GIVING AN HONEST OPINION.

I'm not sure why this is so offensive.

If you play FSU in this hypothetical first round, it sets up a potential all SEC championship. Playing Bama again to get to the championship game would actually be more insulting, IMO. So whether or not Lou meant it as disrespect, it would actually be fairer.

I hope that thought makes you sleep easier at night... does that dull the pain for you?

simply due to the fact that he is the only person not thinking Auburn should be the 2 seed. We managed to beat the number 1 team and number 5 team in back to back weeks while winning the SEC yet you put one of the teams that you beat ahead while they sat at home.

If he said that he would put Michigan State at number 2 and Auburn at 3 and Bama at 4, at least I would understand that he just thought MSU was a better team than Auburn.

Alabama is a more complete team than Auburn this year. Auburn's D is a dumpster fire that occasionally makes stops. That was on full display today.

But Auburn won, and based on how the system works, Auburn is the most deserving team. Period. You can "think" Alabama is the better team, but they lost in the only game Bama and Auburn will play in '13.

Switch Bama and Auburn's spots and his rationale actually makes sense! Auburn are conference champs, they deserve that higher seed...whatever the seed even means in this new system.
