Past results are not an accurate predictor of the future argument... yeah right...
In the BCS era... all other conferences sending undefeated teams to the title game have a record of 6-8.
In the same era... SEC teams with 1 or more losses are 6-0 in the title game.
That = EARNED in my book!

your logic is all kinds of terrible. This is middle school logic stuff. If you flip a coin 49 times and it's heads every time, you realize it's still a 50/50 shot at heads/tails on the 50th turn right?
What happened in 06 or 09 or 11 or 12 or any other year has absolutely no effect on the present year.

why should OSU be punished for two games when none of the current players (or coach) were on that team.
the national championship should be between the two teams who had the best season.
the question is what is more impressive
1) 0 losses in the big 10
1) 1 loss in the SEC but 3 wins vs ranked teams UGA Bama and aTm. If they win today make it 4.
