I will never question Coach Mitchell's tactics again. He clearly has our girls in enough shape to play 60 minutes.

Had you questioned them previously? That was an amazing game. You could tell they were tired at the end, but wow. This team has final 4 potential.

I have made it very clear that I don't agree with Mitchell pressing and keeping starters in when we are up 50 on teams. Today his conditioning paid off.

I've never understood any coach who leaves his starters in a game after it has been decided, but most do.

Remember when Tebow was knocked out by Windham. Just before it happened I turned to my wife and said "Why is he still in there?".

I think it's largely because you don't want your starters to get out of game shape for when they do run into a team that keeps it close. Now I think it's a little different in football where the risk for injury is higher. But I understand it.

With the style of game Matthew runs, this is pretty much the correct answer. If they run every game and every play then when it matters they will not be bent over gasping for breath late in the first half or in the second half. Also, with this style of play it is run at times like the shift of a hockey team where they substitute all 5 players on the floor for a fresh set of 5 on a rotation.
