(first off I know there is a coaching changes board, but this is more about how it could hurt lsu more if Saban were to leave Bama for Texas)

LSU has been able to go into Texas and get some of their top recruits. If Saban were to leave Bama, you're now competing with a Saban led Texas team and Texas A&M for Recruits.

Bama would most likely still be able to come into Louisiana and get a few recruits every year, then if Auburn's recent success continues you can expect them to do the same thing. You also now have Saban (who knows the talent in Louisiana) coming here to pull recruits to Texas.

LSU has also had some success recruiting in FL, but with Miami and Florida State on the rise (plus Florida probably won't stay down long) it's gonna be harder to compete for recruits in that area.

LSU's best bet would be Saban staying where he is at (which he is most likely to do), and make sure to keep the instate talent along with the texas pipeline going.

1. He's out of the conference
2. It's one of the few credible destinations to believe one of these rumors.
3. He broke up with them.

Why are you singling out LSU fans? I'm sure everyone in the west would like to see Alabama weakened.

I don't care personally if he leaves, but I think a lot of LSU fans want to see him leave just to get him out of the conference and to tell bama fans " I told you so" about Saban abruptly leaving.

Been saying this for a year now. Saban is beatable at Bama. His connections in LA, MS, AL, and GA with the state of Texas at his feet scares the shite out of me.

I doubt Bama could get LA recruits without Saban.

I agree. But OP said Bama would still get LA recruits. No1 in LA is like I want to play for Bama. Its I want to play for Saban.

Don't agree with this. His recruiting base in Texas offers way, way more to choose from than Alabama. He wouldn't necessarily need to cherry pick from other states as much.

While I agree that A&M, TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma, and many other colleges would be hurt by Saban's move to Texas more than LSU, I personally don't want to see it.

It would however be nice for AL to just be AL again, without all the Saban bullshite. They would remain a preferentially treated team by the conference, but would lose a great deal of national appeal.

IMO, he's good for 2 LSU recruits per year at either school.

We want what Terry really wants: To get the F out of that hell hole of Tuscaloosa and away from that unappreciative, delusional fan base.
