What happens in Corpus Christi stays in Corpus Christi.

Only up by 6 at the half. Fire everyone.

3 Point Shooting for the 1st Half:

Jamal Jones 3-4

The Ags need to create more turnovers but I have few complaints beyond that for the first half.

Houston is shooting like arse, but they've gotten 33% more shots than we have due to shitty defensive rebounding and 6 Aggie TOs (granted, 6TOs isn't terrible, but they only have 1). We should be up 15 right now.

I'm not going to lie: if I had seen the line before tipoff, I would've placed a few C-notes on Houston plus 9 1/2.

Billy Kennedy really needs to work on his halftime speeches.

A very apt movie reference.

Dylan Johns is such a waste of height....and now he's gone. Blink and you missed him on the court, folks.

Looks like we're going to win this one. Pulled away down the stretch.

This was pretty much a gimme. Houston wasn't a great team to begin with and then they lost a 16ppg player to injury just a few days ago. Losing to Houston would have been a "shitcan Kennedy tonight" type failure

Wouldn't expect any less. Somehow this double digit win is really a loss.

I didn't say anything even close to that.

All I said was that with the injury to one of their 2 best players, there really wasn't a way for us to lose the game. Yea they hung tough for awhile, but they weren't that good a team with House so without him, they were screwed.

The most negative thing you could take from my post is winning the game didn't mean much. I would agree with that.

Agreed. I expected the Ags to rebound from their poor performace in Corpus.

We aren't world beaters by any stretch of the imagination, but we aren't Auburn either.

Losing this game would've been inexcusable. Houston previously lost to Texas Tech by double digits, but UH is still one of the "better" non-conference teams that we face on our schedule.

This thread would have reached four pages if we had lost.

Fine, then you're implying this win is really a tie.

No. I'm saying that you can't learn that much about yourself by beating a meh team that just lost one of its 2 best players and is reeling on offense.

If we'd lost, it would have been a "welp, season's over"-level loss. Total disaster. Since that didn't happen, we know the wheels aren't totally off, but not much more than that.

This describes the majority of teams in the SEC.

Perhaps Project Pat was being a bit sensitive, but please forgive him. He stands alone as the sole Kennedy supporter on this board.

It's a lonely existence, really.

I'm a Kennedy fan, and Murray State student. Jamal Jones credited his hot shooting tonight on Kennedy "tightening up" his shot.

Kennedy will improve recruiting as he becomes familiar with texas again. He has great contacts in new orleans and southern Mississippi already.

The entire university's profile is benefiting from SEC exposure and I expect the basketball team to follow the football teams success.

Sherman left our football team in much better shape than turgeon left the basketball team... Patience is a virtue, y'all!
