Simple question for Auburn fans, do you think Tre Mason is going to declare in next year's draft or do you think he returns for his senior season?

Discussing the Iron Bowl with a guy from work yesterday who is a big Auburn fan, some how Tre Mason came up in the conversation and I stated my opinion that he would leave. I'm basing this on the fact he plays RB, he's going to be 1st team all SEC, and I can't really imagine his draft status improving with another year, he's already a really good player.

This guy swears he's coming back, said something about his family having money and his dad is a rapper (which I have no idea if that's true or not). We made a friendly wager, maybe I don't know shite and I'm about to lose some money.

If we win the NC I think he leaves. Running backs can only take so many hits, plus he would be a high pick.

If AU wins the SEC Championship, he's gone IMO. At this point, he has nothing left to prove. I guess it will come down to where he's projected when he tests the waters, but I don't see him returning.

This is true.

He may go...nobody knows. He doesn't need the money but that doesn't mean anything really.

Best to take the money and run.

That's what Auburn players are good at right?

He's not going to have a more impressive audition than what he has done this year/the past 3 weeks.

If he is smart he is gone. RB's have a limited playing life and he has had the kind of year that could get him drafted late first early second.

Grab the money and run.

They put 2 backs on the first team, I anticipated it being Mason and Mike Davis, with Jeremy Hill and Yeldon being 2nd team.

I could be missing someone, just going off the top of my head without looking at stats.

Apparently he talks openly to other students about going pro right away. Greg Robinson (our left tackle) seems to be leaning that way as well.

His dad is also known as the laugh at the beginning of the Feel Good Inc by the Gorilla. If he leaves, it isn't because the money more the likely

As a pro RB prospect, he is considerably undersized and does not have the electric speed of guys like Chris Johnson. He likely will find a role (especially since he is an underrated receiver) but he isn't a 1st round or likely 2nd rounder. As mentioned above, he seems to talk with people about going pro which sucks.

Missing Gurley...I'm guessing TJY would be left out which speaks to just how strong of a RB group the SEC has next year. No, the rushing and rushing TD leader isn't getting left off.

Gurley didn't play enough to warrant first team IMO...even though he would have been a shoe in had he been 100%. Second team is nothing to scoff at though.

Who could blame him. Taking the money and run is only for the elite of the draft- Thanx for the compliment!

I think he would be drafted.

Probably 3rd round.

He should consider it and do what he thinks is best.
