I've never seen any of the Star Wars. Are they really that good?

Surely you jest?

Yes, but you only need to watch 4 of them (in this order for maximum effect):
Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)

How have you never seen Star Wars? They're everywhere, it's almost hard not to see one by accident.

I know how he can use his light saber without breaking it. There is a rubber/jelly type material some people use to test their own ballistics. It can be made easily but the only color I have seen might be a little too dark. Not sure if it can be made completely clear or not.

The two newest ST movies are good. I was always bigger on SW. The best news is that the director of the two newest Trek films (JJ Abrams - Lost, Mission Impossible 3, etc) is directing Episode VII.

Never saw them either.

Ugh me neither. Skip the nerd movies and have a drink.

Well, getting caught up on Lost is a Herculean task at best. That's a Netflixer, for sure since there were 7 seasons or something to that effect. It took me learning in college that the right director can turn your opinion of a film even if you don't think that it has merit on the surface.
This is the lesson I learned with Bad Boys. Didn't watch Fresh Prince. Didn't watch Martin. Why the frick would I watch a cop movie starring both?
Michael Bay, that's why.

My wife watched lost. Said she loved it but I could never get into it. I was, well, lost.
Bad boys 2 was awesome though. Better than the first IMHO
Eta : The house they blew up at the end was just down the street from my father in laws. They put three house up where the one was. Crazy

Well worth it. If you follow it all the way through, it's some of the best television that's been on in the last 50 years.
