Just looking at ESPNs top 50 list of JUCOs and we have come up empty so far..Jarran Reed, DT prospect is still out there and a position of need. Eric Lauderdale, WR, just visited last weekend.
UT has FIVE JUCO commits out of top 50 list and they are tearing it up on the recruiting trail. AU, the girls school and even Bama are all after some of the best ones. I just wish we could secure an OL & DL

I've been surprised that WM hasn't been after more JUCO recruits this recruiting cycle. I know there is a stigma around getting JUCO players, but it seems in recent years the quality of those players has risen. They definitely aren't long-term solutions, but they can plug some holes immediately.

I don't follow JC recruiting, are there any OL from the Junior college ranks that are considering UF. As nino said, they'd be nice to fill some holes.

eta: nm, I'll look at the list sometime later.

Lauderdale is the best bet.

I expect UF to push hard for a couple of JUCO linemen if y'all hire an OC/OL coach quickly. Both Bama and Auburn have won recent championships with JUCO linemen. Worst case scenario, they take up a scholly for a couple years and add depth and competition at a spot of great importance.

Unfortunately the best cherries have been picked over. We have recruited some good JUCOs the past several years...but I think the chaos from the season fallout made coaches direct every bit of energy towards the team and JUCO recruiting went by the wayside.

Our admissions office has never been cozy with JUCOs visiting without decent grades. Saban has been hitting JUCO ranks for years now and ditto Richt. When you gaps at certain positions you need full grown men to help the depth and give a team a good rotation.

Reed was never committed to us fwiw.

UF wasn't recruiting him this go round.

Wasn't he back & forth with us and Ole Miss? I just mentioned his name because ESPN shows that we were one of the teams that were after him FWIW.

2014 will be a very good year but we are always in need of DL depth to keep legs fresh...especially in Sept heat.

Coaches didn't actively recruit him this cycle.
