What are the odds that if fsu wins, Ohio State wins and auburn wins we get a rematch with auburn in the sugar bowl? Some auburn fan told me about this today...first I've heard about it. Is it possible?

I want it.

Actually, I am kind of torn. On the one hand, I want the rematch for revenge's sake. On the other hand, I don't want Auburn to win the SEC title in Gus's first year.

Auburn would veto it.

I don't want to play a mid-major.

I don't want Auburn to play for the Natty, unless it's against us.

New Orleans is the most fun awesome place for a sporting event and it is also within driving distance.

Those are all my thoughts on Bama's postseason.

I don't recall ever seeing 2 same conference teams play in a bowl game except for the 2011 NC when it was forced because of the BCS rankings.

It's not very likely if I understand things correctly. I think the Rose/Orange will have priority over the Sugar in regards to selecting at-large teams, not to mention replacing the slots that would normally be occupied by Big 10/ACC champs. Bama would likely end up in one of those bowls before the Sugar...

If we play againts Auburn again, it HAS to be for the MNC.

No matter how badly we beat them in another bowl, they will always hang over our heads the fact that they runied our perfect season and cost us a national championship. They won't care how well they did in the postseason.

I find the idea pitiful. We had our game against Auburn. We lost. It's not the same as 2011. That was for a championship. I want to play a different team.

Yeah I agree, I don't want a Sugar Bowl rematch. I'm not above the idea of having a rematch in the BCSCG tho

what id like to see if Mizzou wins the SEC, we could play them in the Sugar. But I think all the BCS bowls have to follow the contract (you know the one to force them to create great and intriguing games). So we'll get something like Auburn or Mizzou against UCF, We could play Clemson, and Oklahoma State could earn the right to play Fresno State.

Yea!

Brad Edwards said NIU would get in Sugar Bowl, and that rematch would only happen if they lost... to Bowling Green

The Orange Bowl picks to replace FSU, then the Rose Bowl to replace tOSU, then the Orange Bowl gets the first rotational pick. Orange Bowl would have to pass up Bama TWICE, and the Rose Bowl would too. I kinda wish we could just decline the invitation to those bowls and let the Sugar Bowl set it up.

That said, I don't even fricking care about a Sugar Bowl. I want two things. The title, and revenge. Nothing else is good enough.

We're spoiled.

I just don't want to play Clemson. Nothing about that matchup excites me.

How about that ^^^for a fix? Would simple revenge work for you without a title?

Only if it is complete domination. Another close game wouldn't unless it was for the title.

It's technically possible, but not at all likely because the Orange Bowl would have to pass on us in favor of UCF or NIU.

I cannot imagine the amount of fatalities in the French Quarter, not to mention "Krystal Moments" if this were to occur.

The State's reputation is tenuous at best, this would just take it to a whole new level of low...

Nonetheless, It'd be a sick game...

Slive said he wasn't for it. There you go. No chance of it happening in the Sugar.
