I vote Murray. He basically had to carry the offense for long stretches of the season.
2nd choice would be Tre Mason.

I'm curious why no mention of McCarron but then again I see the LSU tag by your name

PoY is about stats.
Johnny or Mason for OPOY, I guess Mosley or Sam for DPoY? I don't really know. We'll see soon.

Usually POY goes to the best player on the best team.....that's Mason.
Or it's a lifetime achievement to a well respected player. That's Murray.

Since when is Auburn the best team in the SEC?
Luckiest maybe. But they won't put the most talent in the NFL.

It would be weird to see AJ finish as the highest guy in the Heisman race from the SEC (most Heisman polls have him at 3 currently) and not be first team All SEC QB or OPOY.

See when you say that you are just hating on AJ to be a dick.

Not really. There are a lot of people who actually think Murray is a better player and more valuable to his team. They aren't hating on McCarron when they think that.

You do realize who the media picked as 1st team preseason All SEC QB? Were they just being dicks too?
If it makes you feel better, the starting Bama 11 should be named 1st team all SEC. Both sides of the ball. There. Now don't go kill anyone because of my opinion.

Well, their record and SECCG appearance proves that at the least they are the best team in the West. I know, I know, they "couldnt beat Alabama twice"... but give me a break.

It is either us or Missouri which is to be decided. I know SEC championships mean nothing to Bama fans, but to most people it means you are the best team in the conference.

Obviously a lot of that debate depends on where loyalties lie. But I think most of the basis for Murray getting acknowledgement over McCarron is that AJ threw for just under 2700 yards with healthy receivers throughout the regular season (sans the occasional missed game or 2 by Amari Cooper). Whereas Murray continued his dominant passing streak of 4 straight 3000 yard passing seasons, all while the leading receiver on the team had just over 600 yards while only playing in 7 of 12 games (Chris Conley). I respect the heck out of McCarron and he is a wonderful pro prospect (IMO), but what Murray has accomplished this season was nothing short of remarkable.
As an aside, as stated above; Tre Mason should probably be the SEC POY. He was nothing but spectacular all season long.
ETA: Sorry I had to amend the leading receiver on the team stat. The remarkable part that I posted earlier was meant to say: Justin Scott-Wesley is the 6th leading receiver on the team with 311 yards. He played in only 5 of 12 games. Crazy stuff.

I would have no problem at all with Murray winning it, he definitely deserves it.
