Seems like they ran the same play over-n-over-n-over again and rarely was it ineffective. Amazing they got this much mileage out of essentially one single play.

The zone-read Mason and Marshall ran accounted for 270 yards on 38 attempts.

Domination is hard to stop.

when they're running it as good as Marshall was that night, it'd be tough for most people to stop. My house full of people (cheering for both teams) got fooled what seemed like 5 or 6 times. Even in some of the slow-mo replays it looks like the ball is in the running backs hands and then magically poofs away for Marshall to keep it.

Auburn had 12 drives. Four resulted in TDs, 1 was a turnover on downs, 1 was a turnover, and 6 punts. It was enough to win the game, but not exactly domination.

whatever makes you sleep better at night hoss. that dline got knocked off the ball all night. when you can beat the #1 team with essentially one play it damn sure aint trickery that beat you.

no it was a 109 yard return on a short field goal, wasn't the zone read that won the game

Scoring a TD on a 3rd of your drives is pretty damned good.

right, we scored every single point on that one play. pray tell how we were even in it to win it at the end if it was all one play. you gotta be the dumbest sore loser on this board...and thats saying a lot.

All that play did was make it where you wouldnt lose in OT. Face it, Auburn was running it down bama's throat. And outside of one bonehead play by the Auburn DBs, Auburn was dominating.

300 rushing yards against what is supposed to be the best defense in the country is domination. Alabama knew it was coming, the fans knew what was coming, the announcers knew what was coming...yet Alabama and nobody else this year was able to stop it.

Yet Auburn was still outgained by 100 yards. Bama also had a higher YPC than Auburn. Auburn won the game, but did not dominate. Dominate was 49-0 last year, 42-14 in 2011. 2009, 2010, and 2013 were not dominating wins for either team.

Which is 99% accounted for by the McCarron-to-Cooper pass.
I agree that is wasn't a "dominant" win. But the zone read play that AU seemed to run endlessly was a dominant play.

Will be remembered forever by everyone. No one will ever talk about 2011 or 2012 other than Bama fans.
Stings huh?
