Auburn will be better next year. Bama will be worse.

That's the same thing fans from every SEC fanbase have been saying since 2008.

And every year we come back and kick their teeth down their throat.

I do expect Auburn to win the West again next year.

Good rhyme. None of it is true, though.

What delusion? We've lost exactly 3 games in 3 years. We've won 3 of the last 4 national championships. We've had 6 consecutive seasons of 10+ wins. We've had 3 consecutive seasons of 11+ wins. If we win our bowl, it will be 3 consecutive seasons of 12+ wins. We've had more players drafted over the last 5 years than any other team in the country, and every year we end up being the team that everyone "wants".

How hard is it to understand that one loss doesn't change any of that?

Ah, but that 'one loss' was possibly the worst way for you team to lose, on national television, to be replayed over and over again.

This is worse for Bama than the 2010 IB by a significant margin.

I think losing the best QB bama has had for a loooong time is gonna make a huge difference. Of course the next guy (BTW, who is the next QB?) may be great, can't predict things like that. But IMO I think bama will be 2nd-3rd in the west next year, maybe worse considering whos leaving.

The level of "WTF" that was involved with that last 36 seconds of the game is probably what has allowed me to cope MUCH better than I did in 2010.

I don't think there's anyone in the country who believes Auburn has a better team than Alabama. They were certainly better than us Saturday night. That doesn't demolish a dynasty.

There aren't many Alabama fans feeling sorry for ourselves, with tails tucked between our legs - which is why the poem is kinda silly.

Some Auburn fans want so badly for Alabama fans to just be emotionally destroyed and beyond the point of dispair... but it's just not really like that for the most part.

I agree with this. We'll experience a drop off next year. I still think we'll easily reach 10 wins, and be in great shape moving forward.

Me. Ran the ball for 300 yds and Saban was outcoached.
