The game may come down to the kicking game and I was wondering if he has gotten any better since he shanked the SCar game. TIA

No, he's still just as bad. Especially in clutch situations

He's not bad just inconsistent. The shank was his low point of the season. Usually you can certainly count on him to make a 24 yarder. Long this season is only like 41 or so I think. For the most part he'll do what your everyday average kicker would be needed to do in a given situation, but he does have that scary wild streak in him where every now and then you'll get a complete dud.

I guess I view being bad and being not-clutch as slightly different. Like, if Baggett is kicking a routine 30 yarder during the course of a game I'm not gonna flip out, and I would bet you he probably makes it. If he's kicking a 30 yarder to break a tie with zero seconds left in the game, I'm slitting my wrists.

Decent kicker. Born without a clutch bone.

He has difficulty from the left hash. Most of his misses are from the left hash.

But let's be honest. If we are depending on the kicker to win, or Auburn is depending on our kicker to miss to win, we both have screwed up.

This game isn't going to depend on kicking. It is going to be a battle at the line. The offensive and defensive line that wins the line will win the game - handily.

Some of you guys make me want to puke. Go back and look at both kicks in the SC game where the HOLDER didn't rotate the ball so the laces would be OUT. Yes he can be inconsistent at times but he has a big leg & you forget that he won the SEC Special Teams player this year when he went 5 for 5 against FL (and he won it last year at TN).

Good kickers don't care. They get it done regardless of how its held.

He's awful. If this game comes down to a kick we are done.

I expect we will go for it at any time it's even remotely reasonable to do so.

Let's be honest...he sucks.

And he knows it too. He has zero confidence. Just watch how the team reacts after he misses a field goal. His head droops down, his shoulders give the appearance of total defeat, and his teammates pat him on the back as if that will help.

Everyone knows the kid is a terrible kicker.

He has been a solid kicker for most of his career, but he's pulling things left every since SCAR. It's like he's got the yips or something

Would you rather he do a moonwalk, raise the roof, flash a Johnny Football money sign at the crowd, and cartwheel his way back to the sideline after a miss?

I'm not saying he does have confidence or doesn't, I don't know. But the body language and reaction you describe is kinda par for the course for pretty much any kicker after a missed field goal, they all do that because missing sucks.
