Auburn:

1) Basically a home game in our 2nd state approximately 90 miles up the road.

2) Auburn has played in and won championship games with this coach and some of these same players.

Mizzou:

1) Catching Auburn at a great time emotionally while hearing nobody in the media really giving them much credit.

2) Wide receivers against Auburn DBs

Mizzou's has an underrated rushing attack.

Sam is a freak.

This game could be a classic.

Auburn running game is sort of a disadvantage. Im not saying that AU's running is bad, Im saying if they were as good in the air as they were on the ground, this game would be over.

And before you say "Well we shut down A&M" JFF was hurt a little, and we caught them at a good time. But that game should have been an arse whooping. Mizzou couldve scored another TD at the end. If they got to a fast start, that game would be over at halftime.

Going to be a great game. I really don't like the fact that Mizzou is going to go into the game feeling disrespected.

I feel like their WRs are a match up nightmare for us. Then again, I haven't really been impressed with their wins. UGA was decimated, UF was decimated and terrible, A&M kind of packed it in already but I still give them credit for it. I think the moment could be a little too big for them as well. But I can definitely see how they give us a run for our money.

I've been thinking all year how these two teams are fairly similar and this should make for a really interesting matchup. Auburn runs the ball really well obviously... mason is a stud and marshall is really fast. MIZZOU is a very well balanced offense. pick your poison... they can hurt you both ways. I think Auburn will have basically a "home" field and big game experience advantage like the OP says. If MU can contain and limit Auburns running game, they have a good chance to win this one. Also, I like MU's defense just a bit more than Auburns'... they have a knack for creating turnovers at key times.. can't wait. great season for both Tiger squads!!! M I Z

This game is evenly matched. There's nothing you can really point to on either side that suggests a clear advantage at victory. AU pulling out very close W's, and being challenged more on that front could be a plus in a tight game I suppose.

That's what I'd worry about—how to get the same level of intensity and effort next Saturday that your team had last Saturday.

I don't see us being the first team to do this. We're going to have to score some points.

If Auburn hadn't beaten UAT the way they did, meaning, basically running the ball and playing special teams, I'd be more nervous.

I certainly think Mizzou is capable of winning the game, but I like AU's chances of being able to outscore them. Mizzou is a very good team, I just think that the confidence of this AU offense, growing every week, will be able to get it done. All that said, I'll grow increasingly nervous toward the weekend. I respect Mizzou's ability a lot.
