I remember a quote from the Bama players when we faced them in the NC and it was along the lines," we will beat LSU because that's where Bama belongs." I've noticed the same entitlement attitude to permeate the fanbase. What makes Bama anymore deserving than a bunch of teams in the NCAA with lots of tradition like; Michigan, Nebraska, Texas, Notre Dame,Oklahoma, Ohio St., Penn St., Etc.?

Because that is the expectation? Anything less is settling. Winners don't settle for less.

We believe we should compete for a title every year. We are spoiled.

Even with the loss, I still say they're the best team in the country.

So being the best team in the country, they should be in the national championship.

Oh excuse us for wanting our team to play for NCs every year. So sorry that it bothers you.

Ohio St. and Fla. St. also have tradition of winning. Should their fans also expect everyone to vote them in the NC every year?

Well when they have one or zero losses, sure, why not.

All the teams listed have storied programs. Why should Bama get any more consideration than those?

Couldn't say it better myself. I wonder why the "entitled" word gets thrown around here all the time.

Bama fans have "a want" to be in the hunt every year. Does that make it easier for LSU fans to understand?

They have more talent than any team they play and a coach who belongs in the NFL.

Why shouldnt they expect to dominate?

It gets thrown around because it fits. Bama thinks they should start the season ranked first every year and even if they lose, they still think they deserve a shot at the NC just for being Bama.

Well over the last few years we've been in the title game more times than not, and have won it more than everybody else combined. Don't see why expecting to win is a bad thing?

The expectation of perfection is what has the program where it is today. Sometimes you don't achieve it but it's always what they are striving for. Accepting mediocrity, or even second best, is a losers mentality. A champion can't be forged from a group with that mindset.

Why not expect to win it or at least be in contention every year? Alabama has won it or been basically a game away from playing for it every year since 2008 with exception of 2010.
