While I agree that the death threats he recieved were over the top and uncalled for, that letter that girl wrote on her blog and this facebook group is completely unnecessary. Cade will be fine in the long run. Yes he will get a lot of shite the next few days, but people will move on with their lives.

I'll support Case Foster in every kick he attempts for the rest of his life, but I still reserve the right to be upset with him because he failed to do his job on multiple occasions Saturday.

Because people are acting like the whole fanbase wants him dead. Am I dissapointed in him? Yes. But I, like most logical fans realize that life does go on. A little criticism is neccessary as long as one keeps it reasonable. And it's not like Cade was the ONLY person responsible for the loss.

Well all of the shite he got on his twitter makes us look bad as a fan base. Some of my Auburn friends are already talking about how Bama fans are "classless" and "sore losers". While I can understand the resoning behind the letter and the facebook group, it just seems a bit over the top to me.

So what better way to counter all of the shite with something positive from a UofA student? There is never anything wrong with support, my friend.

Let me start this with I think the people sending death threats and all that craziness to him are morons. But my problem is that we have a coach who preaches to "do your job", and yet Cade didn't do his. He's probably a great person, but as a football player I can't support him. I hope he never plays another snap for Alabama because he can't do his job when it counts.

But here's the thing...as you mentioned, we have a coach who preaches "do your job", yet Saban's the one who didn't do his job. In spite of 9-6, Nick Saban still didn't seem to take the 40+ yard FG game seriously. In spite of Foster's inability to make big kicks like that with the game on the line, Saban failed to recruit or train a suitable replacement. If Adam Griffith is the guy he has confidence in, that's who should have been doing the kicking. I don't blame Foster. I blame Saban for continuing to put Foster in situations where it has become painfully evident that he can't succeed. It's almost cruel.

I think we have every right to be mad at him. He almost cost us a championship in 11 and did cost us this year. He shouldn't get death threats and I don't wish him any ill will but I am mad at him for not doing the one job he had to do. Also, that letter is embarrassing because it's full of inaccuracies and stinks of bama fans trying to make themselves look and feel better. If your mad it's fine and a normal response, you don't have to fall in line with whatever the social media mob wants you to believe.

He has worked to get better and has accomplished this over his time at Bama. Did I hear in the game that he was 11/12 coming into the Iron Bowl? In the end Bama recruited this kid and then recruited another supposed stud after him (Griffith) and still have taking the kicks. So take your blame to Saban instead. That is who you are really blaming rather you realize it or not.

I don't understand why everyone is on him. If White, Cooper, Jones, and Norwood would have done their job then Foster wouldn't be needed

I have no problem with Cade. Nobody wanted him to make those kicks more than he did. The kicks might have won it for us but so would converting on 3rd/4th and short.

Sometimes it's just not your day. That's why they make beer.

I would like to say I don't understand people acting with such hate but, unfortunately I think it is a product of internet anonymity.

It would be interesting to sit with one of these in people to see what kind of person they are. If any of you haters are in Nashville and would like some good BBQ, I'll be at Lo' and Slo BBQ Bistro from 11:30 to about 12:30 today. Come have a beer and wings with me and let's discuss.

Saying Saban is to blame is like blaming the boss because the guy next to you at work cant do his job, yes its true, but you can still be mad at the guy who cant perform. I saw the logic in every decision Saban made, it just happened that the decisions didnt workout in his favor. We dont need to write a letter to Cade about how great he was as damage control. The letter had tons of inaccuracies and was poorly written. The letter was over the top and unnecessary.
ETA: A facebook page being started to show a guy support is like getting the dreaded vote of confidence from the front office. If I were Cade, I would see that as a circular way of saying I really do suck.

If you feel actual anger towards the kid, then you have more deep-seeded issues you probably need to deal with.

I am really disappointed in his performances. It must really suck to know that your legacy is that when the lights are on and the crowd's electric you are known for flubbing important kicks despite all the effort and practice. I'm not going to justify anyone's innuendo about psychological issues. Cade has left an ambivalent legacy at Alabama. He made that bed, not I.
