This makes him what, the second highest paid coach in the SEC?
That's big dick money. I think it's well spent. We'll go 8-4 next year, but in 2015 TAMU will contend.

I'll be honest I don't see the hype around this guy.
8-4 with JFF & Mike Evans playing backyard football? At this point I'd say he's the most overrated coach in the country. But he still might be great. Just think his stock is way higher than it rightfully should be.

Exactly, they are doing this so they don't have to go through another coaching search. Think about it, JFF gone, Mike Evans gone, and one of the worst defenses in the country. What coach would want to take over that shitstorm?

we were told we would be lucky to make a bowl in our first couple seasons, now sumlin is being made of for winning 8 games and losing to 3 top 5 teams by one score
