That I've had the pleasure of experiencing over the past 5 seasons.

Yesterday's game was historical in so many ways. Yes I'm disappointed of the loss, but at the same time what we witnessed will never be duplicated again in our lifetime. That was a HELL of a ball game!

Agree. This loss may have prevented an historic threepeat, but we are still in the Saban era and I would be surprised if he doesn't bring home more crystal in the coming years. The present and future are bright. We may not be the number one team this year, but we are the number one program still.

Absolutely we are the number one program. Hope our fans can remember that.
If you want a laugh, go to the scoreboard and see the corndogs trying to force a meltdown. I am sure our crazy fans on tidefans etc melted but I don't even go to those sites. I really don't see a melt her except maybe for one or two.
Seriously the ranters infecting the SEC Rant are good entertainment. They are melting b/c we aren't

Can't win them all, has been a great season. The team always plays better with a goal in mind. This will drive them next year.

It is crazy that it took such a game to beat us, but that is how football works sometimes.

Could we possibly be the #2 team at the end of the season with the right BCS opponent?

What's crazy to me is that I think it CAN erase all the greatness. I feel like this is going to stagnate Bama football. Maybe I'm still too butthurt or something, but it feels like the kind of loss that affects the program pretty harshly.

This same garbage was said after the iron bowl in 2010. Relax. We will be fine

I think that this loss was needed. It serves as a wake up call for the players, coaches, fans, everyone. We bought into the hype and we suffred the consiquences. Now hopefully next year our players will come out hungry for another MNC. It happened in 09 after a dissapointing end to the season. Also happened in 11. Next year is THE year!

Roll Tide everyone!!!

Seeing a mathematical pattern here

10+ win season (2008)
Championship Season
10+ win season
Championship Season
Championship Season
10+ win season
.....
.....
.....

what comes next in this pattern?

Are you old enough to remember the 1980's? Or the 90's? Do you remember the early 00's before Saban got here? I do and am so grateful that Alabama has had this kind of success the past 6 years. This team will bounce back. Yes, This loss sucks. Even more so that it was to auburn of all teams. But it's one loss. It was horrible going through those years when 'Bama didn't even get close to a bowl game. If anyone in the year 2006 would have predicted that by 2013 that Alabama would have 3 National Titles and their first Heisman Trophy winner they would have been laughed at and ridiculed beyond belief. Be thankful of what they have achieved. Alabama ISN'T going away. Saban has made this team a perennial contender and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

I am thankful that this year is what we at Alabama call a "rebuilding year".

The way it went down was just too much. It was a game we should have won. Credit to Auburn, but we should have won the game. Then the typical Auburn miracle, just too much. We have an awesome program, but to think we were that close to some serious history.. Ugh.

Saban flushed his legacy down the toilet on Saturday. He can go to Texas or Dallas or Sul Ross State for all I care.

I don't know if you can call this a rebuilding year since we had all the pieces in place from a pre-season perspective. The O-line was the huge question from Day 1 and they seemed to improve every week.

Next season you could call it one maybe, a new QB and some key leaders on offense will need to be replaced... but we have 5 and 4 stars stepping into roles now so I guess by Bama standards it would be a rebuilding year... but relative to other programs around the country, it's just reload, aim and try again.

It has been said a few times the last few years that the only team that can beat Alabama is Alabama. And just like in the Game of the Century and the Texas A&M game last year. Alabama beat Alabama yesterday. If they execute they win the game. I would have been more worried today had Alabama been outclassed yesterday. You can't play your best every game, sometimes shite happens. I not worried.
