I ask this question because that is what either Auburn or Alabama will have to do in order to win the BCS national championship this season so long as Mizzu does not lose against A&M. And even then, if Mizzu loses, that still means Bama or Auburn would still face three top ten teams in a row.

Let that sink in for a second....

For Alabama to win the BCS they will have to beat a #4 Auburn, #5 Mizzu, and then either #2 FSU or Ohio State.

For Auburn to win the BCS they will have to beat #1 Bama, #5 Mizzu, and then either #2 FSU or Ohio State.

What are the odds a team can knock off three consecutive top 5 teams?

Palmer says we're more like a #10 anyway.

Not necessarily, unless USC is ranked higher than i think (too lazy to look).

Considering if Alabama goes to the title game they will lose to FSU by 24+. And if Auburn wins the SEC they will not even go to the title game (unless Ohio State loses) due to there 1 loss (and if somehow OSU loses Auburn would lose to Florida State by 35+).
I say the odds for either team doing this are not that good.

For Mizzou to win a championship, we would have to face #1 Bama and then #2 FSU/Ohio State.

Let that sink in for a moment...

Like I said, so long as Mizzu makes it to Atlanta, that will mean either AU or Bama would have to face three top 5 teams in a row to win the BCS.

If South Carolina makes it to Atlanta, that means either Bama or AU would have to face three top ten teams in a row to win the BCS.

Either way, it's a TALL order for any team.

Cry me a river - we played Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Missouri and Auburn in a row and Oregon before that

I don't think there is a complaint there. Not everyone is immediately mad that they have to play a good team. Some of us look forward to it.

1983: AU played #5, #7, #3, #19, #8 all in a row and won all 5.

Probably the toughest 5 game stretch in college football history to play, let alone win ALL.

Are you expecting Carolina to move into the Top 5 after we beat Clemson and Auburn loses to Bama or Bama loses to Auburn?

Meh. I claim that NC 7 days a week. We actually had more selectors name us NC than Miami did.

I was in school then and went to Fla and Maryland home games. Watched Boomer Esiason leave on a stretcher. After Sugar Bowl, honestly thought we had won the natty.

Has FSU even played anyone worth a dern besides Clemson? Seriously? I see Clemson and Miami. What about defense...has FSU played anyone with a respectable defense? I'm going to laugh when FSU gets to the title game and gets there shat pushed in by Alabama.
