Why laugh? Tubbs may not have been the GOAT, but he kept the deed to Bryant-Denny in his desk.

Until Saban stomped him and then he quit.

So you're telling me that if a team goes way above what the normal market price is for a coach of that level, he might take it? AMAZING.

I don't think Auburn is going to get in a 4mil bidding war for Gus, so if Texas wants to pony up, have at it.

I haven't met a bama fan that would trade Saban for Gus. Not one.

I don't doubt that Gus is a great coach but to say "bama fans" want him gone is just silly.

The sentiment has changed from the beginning of the season from "we don't care that you hired a high school coach" to something more resembling respect, which in Bama country means they just post more derogatorily on al.com about his wife.

Bama fans do want him gone, they don't want anyone who's going to win at Auburn.

Yep, I'm saying that.
'Loyalty' is not Gus's middle name.
It won't take much more to get him to move.

Malzahn is very much an unproven commodity at this point. See Muschamps a year ago and now. Chizick was considered a great coach on this board circa 2010. At one point so was Houston Nutt. The Boise State coach is every bit as good a coach today as he was those undefeated or one loss seasons today for instance. Much better option.

Biggest mistake in hiring a coach is going for the flavor of the month. If Malzahn stays at AU he will have losing season in the SEC, or at the very least 6-6 type of years more often than seasons like right now.

You’ll see.

Gus isn't leaving, way too many at AU have helped him build his staff at AU and have helped him a lot.

That article is the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life.

Gus, is not leaving, like someone else stated, concern level is 0%. He and family are entrenched in Auburn and were even when he was at Arky State

Suitcase Gus entrenched anywhere is laughable.

There is no evidence for this idiotic remark whatsoever. Without a doubt one of the stupidest things I've heard this week on the rant, and it's fricking Iron Bowl week.

Gus is unofficially getting credit for the 2010 NC in the perception of many, after Chiz crashed. Add that to this year's turn around and he looks like a good candidate for any school anywhere.

Auburn may bump his salary, but right now Malz looks like a good deal. If UT actually wants him, they may go after him now before he gets credit for something even more MORACKALUS than the miracle win over UGA.

He Gone.

I feel certain that UT's next coach will be coming from the State of Alabama.
