So if Gus is greedy, the mega millions + the easier path to winning a conference and a shot in the playoffs is greater at Texas.

How is that greedy? I would think taking a job for significantly more money with an easier path to success would be pragmatic. I don't see how that would make Gus greedy.

I'd actually be more concerned if Tx kept Mack this year and were shopping for coach next season. Gus would (hopefully) have two years of success at a large program and be a definite target for jobs like Tx and USC.

I do agree with the no buy-out clauses. We'll be paying for chizik for years. If a coach wants to leave, he's gone. Buy-outs only hurt the university.

So it has been widely reported that Mack said no to stepping down for saban, but Mack "gives his blessing" for Gus? Texas was using saban to get to Gus? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure who is behind this article.

It could just as easily be the work of trolls, whether for the Auburn or the Texas fanbase.

Even if it was a Bama fan troll, what does that change? are all Bama fans "in on it"?

Likely some internet wanker, who cares

turnaround

bout to have pretty much the same record as last year. That "turnaround" was because this conference sucks. Boosters told Mack he had to win the conference and the Fiesta Bowl to save his job. That is not going to happen.

I don't think Saban has ever had a buyout clause in any contract he has worked under.

Makes you wonder how guys ever get jobs writing for websites like that.

Mack is bigger than his trailer trash fanbase. He will not be fired. I think he stays for at least another season.

Then AU could hire Tubby back. I hear he's coming down for the IB. Probably to interview.

Why laugh? Tubbs may not have been the GOAT, but he kept the deed to Bryant-Denny in his desk.

Lolwhut?

I haven't met a bama fan that would trade Saban for Gus. Not one.

I don't doubt that Gus is a great coach but to say "bama fans" want him gone is just silly.
