Texas A&M hosts the Sam Houston Bearkats this afternoon in a battle of undefeated teams. Though the season is young, the two share a common opponent: Prairie View A&M. Sam Houston overcame Prairie View 108-103 in double overtime.

J-Mychal Reese will return to action after serving out his suspension.

Tipoff: 4pm

TV: FSN

Both teams have started off poorly. The Ags have missed several shots from point blank range but lead 4-2 after the first TV timeout.

Edit: Ags go on a small run and currently lead 15-7. We actually drained our first three point attempt.

I would be inclined to answer in the negative, but the only metric that I have to judge SHS would be our common opponent in Prairie View A&M.

This game is blacked out here in Missouri. They almost never black out college basketball, and this is not exactly Duke/UNC.

Have you tried ESPN3, or is that not an option as well?

Edit: On second thought, you may want to skip this game.

A&M's 3 Point Shooting in the 1st Half: 57%.

So true.

The only solace I can take in Aggie basketball is that at least we're not Auburn.

CenturyLink DSL didn't pay for espn3. I couldn't care less about basketball. I was going to be a good Ag and watch the game just because it was on.

Absolutely, I went to the 1995 regional at Coral Gables, FL on my honeymoon.

dabo if you care, we're pulling away now in this cripple fight. Honestly, I can't tell if it's just good defense or terrible offense. I think for us it's both. For them it's just the latter

Pure awesomeness.

tmc- We're pulling away because, as the announcer stated, this is the best A&M has looked all year. After a slow start, everything seems to be falling today.

I haven't seen all our games so I can't evaluate that comment but it's fairly easy to say the announcers are buffoons. I couldn't stop laughing as he was explaining that Space (I think) got a clean block but got him with his hip. That's how he set up the replay. They showed the replay and their hips never got within like 3 feet of one another

This team actually has some talent and athletes on it. I have no faith in Kennedy developing it, but I kind of like this years squad. Outside shot at nit maybe. It's just so hard to tell because we haven't played anyone yet.

And yeah tmc, I know the exact play you're talking about, and when he said he hit him with his hip I laughed.

Watching college hoops this year is going to be a struggle with the emphasis officials have put on calling hand check fouls. Free-throw clinic with ten minutes left in halves will be common.

Kyle Dobbins is Aggie basketball's answer to Brice Dolezal.

We've already seen the rule's effect as you described, and it's not a change for the better.

I'm hoping that the officials will let the players play come tournament time. In other words, they should disregard this rule completely.
