Who else thinks Mizzou is a serious threat to win the SEC?

Everyone is looking for the Iron Bowl to be the game of the week/year in the SEC, but Missouri could very well beat both teams the following week, particularly if it's a close, emotional game.

If we get there its gonna be tuff but Mizzou is great at shutn doubters up. But i think who ever it is will be a great game

I think JFF is a threat to derail our ability to get to Atlanta. That's all I'm thinking about for now.
But if you really want to know what I would think, I would say that I'd rather play Auburn than Bama just b/c the former would theoretically make for a more high scoring, seesaw affair and presumably a little to a lot less physical as well. Auburn is just more similar to Mizzou in terms of style of play and types of players, so that would help us theoretically. I think you'd always rather play a program that is having a similar turnaround season to your own, like Aubie, than play the reigning behemoth who's been there, done that, ready to do it again as a matter of routine.
The main reason Pinkel's Mizzou teams in the Big 12 did not break through and win the conference championship games they played in was that they ran into Oklahoma Sooner teams that *knew* how to win the conference, were the defending champs when we played them and had a roster full of confident players.
If we face Bama in Atlanta there's a danger of a similar scenario. None of our players have ever played in Atlanta before, and the emotional thrill of just getting there may have them a little loopy. For Bama's players it will be business as usual and there will be zero satisfaction for them in just being there, they will be on a cold methodical mission to win it. Auburn? Let's be honest, after winning the Iron Bowl they may succumb to a bit of "just happy to be here"/emotional hangover from previous game stuff too.

What I do know is Mizzou steps their game up for any opponent in 2013. They should not have lost to South Carolina, totally choked that away. If not for that game Mizzou is #3 in the BCS right now with two capable QBs. If Alabama or Auburn takes them lightly, they will pay.
Respect.

If they can outscore A&M and I think they can then they have the chance and ability to get it done. Mizzou looks for real this year and while I like their offense it's the defense that I'm impressed with.

Mizzou is dangerous because they play well on both sides of the ball. Their defense is much better than the other spread teams.

Anything's possible, I suppose, but both would present huge challenges.
Navy destroyed us in a bowl game a few years back running the type of offense Auburn is - and Bama's Bama.
That said, Missouri's good too, but can derp it up with the best of them.
Hopefully we can close the deal against aTm and crush the vile, Satanistic prayers of Gaymcluck Nation.

Good QB: x
Good Def line: x
Good WR: x
Good RB: x
Mizzou could beat anybody.
LSU really showed how to contain (destroy) JFF.

The Tigers will be up for Johnny Football. The Tiger D will be the difference, I think they contain him.

if the Tigers can take care of business against A&M(no easy task) and get to the game, then ANYTHING is possible in Atlanta. MU is balanced on offense and solid on defense. but, it has been my experience in sports that you have to get to the game first before you can win it.

I do. I'm more worried about Mizzo than AU. They are much more balanced on offense.

Mizzou can absolutely beat Alabama. I think they're a much better team than Auburn.
They're good in all 3 phases of the game and play better "as a team" than just about anybody I've seen.
I can see them coming in to Atlanta highly confident and with nothing to lose and playing fearless. Teams with that mentality are very dangerous.

I think it would be unwise to overlook them. They are talented and in a given game, they certainly could win.

A very thoughtful observation (regardless of what that clown thinks). You're probably correct, also. It's like playing the old NY Yankees in the World Series. They expected to be there...and usually won.

It' would be the dumbest thing ever to take them lightly. I watched that entire game last night and they're legit as frick. I can't wait until the SECCG!
