What is the story behind Steve Rob and Rosebowl?

I've seen the old guys refer to him as this millions of times on the spirit but I never understood why. Anyone know the story behind it? Tia
Only thing I know about him is that he supposedly used to be on crack or something. Which may or may not be true either.

He predicted they would be in rosebowl and didn't have a good year. Nothing too interesting

Hmm.. doesn't seem like something I would keep bringing up a few years down the road. Even if it was the most ignorant thing I have heard all week.

You need to read the article he wrote to fully appreciate it.
Before the 2001 season he wrote a long article about how stacked State was and how they would likely go undefeated or maybe have 1 loss, and ultimately end up in the Rose Bowl.
State finished 3-8 that year.
Like I said though, you have to read the article.

Holy crap. Most of it was TL;DR, but what I read has to be the funniest crap I have ever seen.
Thanks for pointing out the article, I would have looked it up a long time ago had I known it wasn't taken down but I figured he just posted it in a thread or something.
I think he was on that crack binge before the Spirit even realized it.
