Our team looks hapless as ever. We just handed a horrible Davidson (0-3) team their FIRST win of the season.

We need to hire a new young coach (or Pearl) who can recruit. Convince a few GA kids to stay home each year and create some tradition here. I'm actually a Fox fan but we are 5 years in so its all his guys. and we have 5 or 6 on scholarship who have no business playing SEC basketball. He just cant recruit.

If you can’t recruit in basketball, you can’t win. It’s really that simple. He never got his hands dirty with the local AAU coaches, so he never really had a chance.

This. Basketball is talent-driven more so than other sports. AAU coaches/handlers largely control the talent. If you refuse to deal with the AAU scene, you're done.

Exactly.
Our entire staff has connections to AAU teams, and we rolling in recruits.
It's the only way.

Put this on the AD, but we always put morals, before business. LSU and others do not. Welcome to UGA. Get rid of basketball and make football the focus that it should be. Take away basketball, which is the far distant, second cousin of UGA football, in terms of revenue. This gives you a little more spending for the football program. Granted it's pennies on the dollar, but it could get us a little extra cash for coaching, ect... Just saying, FB comes first, no matter how you slice it.

Our previous coach was Fox's best friend.
He fricking sucked.
We brought back a LA boy who was with Dale Brown on staff.
He is a recruiter, pure and simple.
HC has contacts in LA, and TX.
Lead AS has connections in Austraila and Cali.
Next AS has connections in GA.
Until ya'll get it, you will suck at basketball. And really, LSU has a strong history in BBall.

During a critical stretch in the 2nd half we had Nemi, Cannon, Forte, Echols, and Frazier on the court. For those of you keeping score at home, that's 3 white kids (one a walk on and one barely worthy of a scholarship), a JUCO transfer, and a undersized, TO prone true freshman PG. These kids don't have a clue how to play together in Fox's system in the 3rd game of the season. Hell, they practically just met. I can understand Fox needing to figure out who he can rely on, but when you play a lineup like that, I question your will to win.
Mann, Gaines, and Donte have to get more minutes, Morris coming back will certainly help. Nemi and Forte have played pretty well in spurts. Parker needs to step up. Thornton is doing everything he can which isn't much anymore. Those are the only 8 guys worthy of seeing the court right now. Our D has been surprisingly bad and we all knew coming into the year that we lacked a legitimate inside presence. It shows.
