Stat worshipping is for loser fans of loser programs

Whenever I hear people bragging about stats, be they an individual player's stats or a team's stats, it's almost always a fan of some team not contending for anything.
Football is about wins and losses, it's about championships. Every single action a football team takes goes into that and that alone.
Stats are a means to an end, not an end.
If you care about and constantly talk about your favorite player's stats, odds are you cheer for a loser team.
Stats are what loser programs cling to because they don't have real accomplishments (wins and championships) to hang their hats on.
