I mean obviously he's busy as shite and isn't flipping through the magazine reading the articles, but is it that outlandish that somebody, somewhere in Tuscaloosa might have mentioned it in passing that his QB was on the cover of a major national magazine?

He also mentioned that this reporter always asks stupid questions that have nothing to do with THE PROCESS. I think he'd reached his BS threshold with the guy.

Of course I would, what is he gonna do? I'm not the kind of person to instigate real life shite, but yeah, I'm pretty sure he couldn't do anything about it. Now, if he had 85 of his buddies behind him, that's a different story.
Edit: and I figured he would've seen or heard of Aj being on the cover. He could've said something nice about AJ being on it instead of being a prick about it.

He has more important things to do then read SI. The reporters try to get him fired up from time to time I think because its so easy

Let me guess..
Had to be one of the local reporters. Saban would never answer a national reporter like that.

That makes sense then, because otherwise it seems ilke an unnecessary quip, but if it's a verno/travis type guy who is always looking to pick and pry then tip of the cap to saban.
