I decided to write a football themed fan fiction drawing inspiration from Friday Night Lights and Remember The Titans. The story is based in the future where football games last for several days. It combines aspects of science fiction(it's in the future), mystery(who wins the football game?), suspense(who wins the football game?), and romance(sex).

Here is an excerpt that will surely hold you on the edge of your seat. The story is called Johnny Futureball and it's about a high school that builds a time machine to bring Texas A&M quarterback to the future to help a high school football team when the national championship.

quote:

The cold air flying around inside my lungs, it was cold, it was in the middle of November and the grass was sticky and sound. I breath then surged forward, I could see the ball carrier within my reach, I grabbed for him and grabbed him and we both fell to the sticky sound grass, it was no touchdown. We had been playing this game for two days straight, it was football marathon, but I had been playing this game in my head for two months now. Thomas High School's Trojan football team was staring a perfect season in their face but we were finally going to put an end to the reign of their football team. It was tie football game but they had the ball and they were running for the touchdown, we had no choice but to stop their efforts.

Cindy sat in the stands, cheering, "GO JOHN", she would yell. She was my high school sweetheart and she was pregnant but she didn't know she was pregnant because she was pregnant with football spirit. It was my turn to kick the field goal, the field goal that would put us in the lead. I was nervous, this was the first field goal I had ever kicked since I missed that one long ago and I was nervous. I walked out on the field, sweat in me. My best friend and fellow teammate, Bryan, looked at me and said, "You can do it, John, just gotta kick up." He didn't understand the pressure on me, I hated Bryan. The ball snappled and flew back at me, I kicked it, I kicked up. The crowd silenced, all eyes on the football as it flew through the uprights. "TOUCHDOWN ROYALS" exclaimed the announcers. It looked like the game had turned for the tide. I smiled as Cindy flew off the bleachers into my arms, our sudden intimacy interrupted by a low rumbling. Another bus pulled up from Hillside High School. "What's going on?", I said with my shoulders perched. The Hillside High School football team poured out of the bus confirming our worst suspicions. We would now have to play both Hillside High and Thomas High at the same time. "We're in a pickle." exclaimed Bryan, I hated Bryan. Cindy dug herself back to the bleachers, the game continued but now we were facing two teams at the same time. Dr. Coach Maggers never prepared us in camp for this but then again, he never was a doctor as we found out.

Ok normally your posts suck really really bad, but I actually really really like this one. And I'm being completely honest and not kidding at all when I ask, will you please post more of the story?

The story kinda jumps around a bit. I generally don't like to simply type stories by starting at the beginning in a sequential manner.

quote:

He stared at me blankly from his wheelchair, "I'm sorry, Mik-", "Don't say it, John, don't be apologize.", he quickly interrupted me. "You and I both knew we had to do it, we had to. Don't ever be apologize.". I remember when Mike Evans and I were young little red shirt freshmen at Texas A&M, scampering around nearby gold mines looking for quarters and soft deep ponds to wade into. It was all different now, here we was, Mike Evans confined to wheelchair, I prepared to play one last football game to save the old gym from being knocked down. "You didn't do this to me." said Mike as he crouched down, "I did this to me.", he continued. He was right. "How can I play this without you, Mike?", I questioned with tears in my face."Don't cry" He assured me and I threw up.

What if I never stepped into that time vortex? Would everything be different? Would my best friend be able to walk around again? I didn't know, but I did know this. Thomas High School would pay for what they did and we would stop the town from tearing the old gym down. "John!", I heard a fat voice cry out. It was Cindy and she was uncontrollable. "Slow down" I yelled in her direction but it was too late. Now she was crippled too. Tomorrow was the big game and I had eaten way too much.
