I'm willing to admit that this upcoming game means a lot to me. All that "we're playing with house money" stuff is just a way to cushion yourself for what you think is going to happen. Regardless of how I logically think about the likely outcome of the Iron Bowl, I want to win BADLY. I haven't been this nervous about a game since after the SECCG in 2010. It will hurt like hell if we lose, and there's no reason to make it seem like it won't. After watching UA and Saban do what they've done over the past five years, absolutely nothing would be more vindicating than to pull off the upset in Jordan Hare.

in other words, you've had no reason to be interested in a game. I suppose those things happen when you're getting drubbed.

welcome back to football.

now, I hope Auburn gets the shite beat out of them.

If it helps, 99.9% LSU fans are pulling for you guys. Hell, everyone's pulling for Alabama to lose except for Bama fans. BAMA MUST DIE!!

As an outside observer with no dog in the fight I hope it's a good game, and an asteroid hits JHS with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter

Hell yeah I want to win, it's Alabama. But I also agree we're playing with house cash. However at this point no one expected us here, but we are, so I want to win it.

Feels good man.

Thankfully we haven't had to deal with a UT type of long term drop off.

No we're not. Not at this point. This has everything to do with beating Alabama, the rest of college football be damned.

The whole UT downfall the last 7 or 8 years has been bizarre. If in the early to mid 2000s you would have told me UT would be sucking this badly I would have rejoiced. Now it just seems wrong to poke fun at their current state Kinda like kicking a puppy.

As for Auburn, it's always great to beat y'all but I admit the last two games have been strange. I felt badly for a couple of my Auburn friends as rubbing in a beat down of inept team just isn't as satisfying and feels wrong.

Agreed. It didnt feel right, and it wasnt near as interesting or entertaining.

But I'd obviously rather win big than lose a close one.
