I have a feeling it won't be as high-scoring as people think. I frequently have feelings that are completely off-base and sometimes downright disturbing, but I'm going with it here:

Luckily it's an afternoon game. Trust me, the brutality of playing Death Valley at night is not overstated. I've been there for three night games in my time and the environment is something else.

1. From what I've seen this year LSU's offense is underwhelming. Even with A&M having a very bad defense it doesn't help.
2. LSU loses a huge advantage with this game being played in the afternoon. (Make this a Saturday Night in Death Valley game, and I may have picked an upset.)
3. There have been a lot of complaints about Mike (the real mascot, not the costumed one) not going into his trailer to attend games this year.
(He's never forced into it. And from what I've seen, LSU needs to build a larger trailer--the current Mike is far larger than prior Mikes and he simply doesn't fit comfortably in there.)
So he may not go, taking away another advantage. (Also, I heard rain is in the forecast. If so, LSU won't bring Mike because the trailer would tear up the turf.)

Interesting, I took a gander at the prediction thread on TigerDroppings, and a large number of LSU fans are expecting the Ags to win this one. Maybe my BAS is starting to creep up on me again by picking the swamp kittens
