The girl lived near Clarke Central and the AHA.Usually a boyfriend deal here but i'm not so sure about this one. Lot of shite going on the last few days with students and criminals. Keep yo eyes open younguns.

That's horrible. I bet the BF is beating himself up something awful, thinking he should have moved whatever he had to so he could've picked her up.

Just saw this on the news, the had a overhead shot of a bike in the ditch as well.

This. She called him to ask for a ride and apparently he wasn't available to pick her up. She then texted that she would catch a bus of walk.
Unfortunately, these kids overestimate the amount of "good" people in the world, assume people won't mess with them if they don't mess with other people and/or feel relatively impervious to harm.

That's supposed to be the "gentrified" part of town, they remodel houses in the ghetto and paint them hip colors and put granite in the kitchen.
I have some friends that live over there.
When we were looking for a house, our agent as well as friends in the area kept pushing for us to move over there, great deals, remodeled houses, "changing" neighborhood.
I've lived in Athens than all of them combined, and told them to piss up a rope. No way in frick will I live in that Ghetto.
Indale, Plaza, Vine, Arch, all that shite. That's where Jamie fricking Hood was held up and being protected by his "hostages".
Sad fricking story.
It isn't the first dead white girl found in a creek over there. I remember when they "gentrified" Dudley Park... two years later, dead white girl in the creek.
This will happen again.
I guaranfrickingtee you when they find the perps, they'll have a rap sheet a mile long through the revolving doors of Clarke County justice.

Perfect example when I clicked on the article to read the story I saw another story about UGA students robbed etc. etc. I googled the perps name since the article didn't provide a picture and guess what? That same piece of shitewas arrested in June 2012 with outstanding warrants including hit&run and breaking and entering. Yet he was rehabilitated and ready to re-join society!

Yea, I'd get it if this was late night and maybe she fell somewhere. That happened at PSU when I was there but this was during the afternoon and on a monday. How could it not be foul play? Or at least how is it ruled out so early?

Seems odd that if she were going to do it herself that she would have tried to get a ride from the BF beforehand. Unless the reason he didn't go is because they were having a fight, I would have to rule out suicide (of course not knowing if there was a note or not).
