Unbiased Daily: Mettenberger will have better NFL career than JFF

In today's edition of Unbiased Daily™, your #1 source of unbiased and neutral football talk from an unbiased source, we will explore the pro futures of JFF and Mettenberger.
Mettenberger has succeeded this year in a pro style, NFL offense, which will equip him for a career in the NFL.
Meanwhile, JFF has played in more of a playground style of football that isn't seen much if at all in the NFL. Either a team will have to build its offense around him, or he will have to adapt to a pro style. Either way, his 10 second scrambles and throwing up a jump ball hail mary to Mike Evans will not occur in the NFL, and will not be able to scramble as much.
What works for Mett will work for him in the NFL, and what works for JFF will not work for him in the NFL.

Good thinking. Gotta get those moral victories on record early.

Mett is a tougher version of Ryan Mallett. Not as much of a head case. His arm can only take him so far in the League, though.

STFU and just beat Baylor

Is this the new Mett for Heisman?

If you equate better to a longer career...then yeah I could see Mett having a better career.

Lol. Mett will never be anything more than a back up. Manziel will, at the very least, be given a chance to start.

His ability to move in the pocket is a concern.

Now that's funny. They can't beat Baylor hell they needed the refs to beat I State and overtime to eek by WVU. At least our qb will have a shot in the League as will LSU'S. Where will his qb be next year? Odds are pumping gas somewhere in Austin.

Wouldn't say that at all. They both will get their chance.
What most JFF haters don't realize is that Johnny can make all the technical throws that anyone else can, AND comes with elusive moves. He's got a hell of an arm that gets hidden among all the scrambling highlights. Several interceptions have come from him hitting an Elway-esque pass in the hands of the receivers and them not hanging on to it. He may need to work on touch in certain situations instead of rifling it in there but arm strength will not be a concern.

Gonna be hard to have a better career when you spend your time as 3rd/2nd string QB

Doesn't surprise me. I think Mett will also. JFF is good, he is just tiny by NFL standards. I am not talking about height either. This doesn't change the fact that JFF is one of the greatest players to ever play the college game.

They are both in college NOW, with a college game this weekend. How they play this weekend is all I am concerned about.
If Mett goes on to be an All-Pro, good for him!

I can't get passed Mett's movement either. To be that immobile - you must have a head like Payton Manning and call plays from the field and always get the ball out to beat a sack.
If I am a GM I just can't take a chance on that lack of mobility.
That being said - dude has a Cannon - I hope he proves me wrong.

Will he have a better career than Nick Marshall though?

Mettengerger has the arm strength and a quick release. I don't know if he has it between the ears though.

You're stupid.

JM does NOT have a strong arm. He also resorts back to his horrible mechanics that he fixed this offseason. Nfl scouts look a qbs realease and they time qbs from the moment they start to throw the ball until it gets to the wr. These times are very critical to a qb because of the difference in physical talent of the nfl cb to a college cb. Sometimes JM throws the fb like a baseball. He has somewhat of a windup. If he can totally eradicate that from his qbing he can succeed. In the nfl you have to be able to ( at some point) beat a team from the pocket. There is no way a small qb like JM can run the way he does in cfb.
