How does it hold 70,000 people yet still manage to look like a high school stadium on TV?
How is it pronounced? Like parrot? Memorial pronounced like memorial (word we use down here that means the same thing)?
Would you say you have more of a field and not so much a stadium?
Serious questions.
Oh yeah, and enjoy your visit to Oxford, where we'll make 60,000 fans sound like 300,000 without any bells (frick you, cattle gumps) and whistles.

They say 70,000 because they have a random grass area they claim as seating
Google war memorial stadium and compare it to theirs. War mentorial stadium holds 55K

Faurot is pronounced "fau-ROW". It's an old stadium, getting a facelift now. It is built in an old limestone quarry, and that dictated part of its structure.
Thank you for your interest in the University of Missouri Department of Athletics.

I would be willing to say that 90% of people have no clue whose or where this is. Me included.

If you're lucky, you get to sit on rocks.

I pronounce it luke for- oh.
I admit, it does look like shite compared to other schools.
I'd rather them buil a new stadium than keep renovating this pos... Like a black and gold arrowhead...

We hold more people because we don't have as many wide bodies as you.
Fa-Row
No, it's a more of a jungle.
Wow, your little 60,000 sounds like 300k? So, you are really saying that you move y'alls mouth a hell of lot more than your asses.
Outside of the rant, we don't talk much. It's Missouri. Show Me.

I don't know the name of Auburn's stadium. Well, take a look at that... I'm fitting into the SEC! I'm uninformed and uneducated.

Faurot Field is named after Don Faurot. It is pronounced fah-ROW. Here he is on his final game being carried off after beating Kansas on the last play. I believe it was a safety.
It's not an ostentatious palace, but it's ours and has a few memories. The 1997 flea kicker vs. Nebraska. The 5th down vs. Colorado. Beating #1 OU in 2010. Faurot Field is host to the first ever homecoming.
It was dedicated in 1926 to alumni and faculty who lost their lives in WW1. The rock M has been there since the beginning.

Still looks like it should be in the Little 12 or B1G.. Not the SEC.

Faurot won't ever be the biggest, most over the top stadium for the same reason Missourians never had the biggest mullets.

Seats are too far away from the field. Seating spreads out instead of up. I'd just as soon build a whole new stadium as well, but I'm probably in the minority. Might change my mind after the renovations. We'll see how it looks then.
