This years Iron Bowl is the most overhyped game in the history of the SEC.

The Road to Atlanta runs through The Zou and CBS picks the wrong game again. Mizzou will return home after this weekend 10-1 and basically be playing for a spot in the SEC title game. Why wouldn't CBS have that game in prime time is beyond me, but screw CBS we will take Gameday instead. It's a forgone conclusion that Alabama and Mizzou will be playing in the SEC title game.

You're really arguing that Mizzou should get the TV spot instead of the IB?
Do you know anything of how college football works? Alabama and Auburn both double, possibly triple your fanbase EACH. The market ratings in Birmingham area alone would predict higher watchers than your entire state.

Because the Iron Bowl will be a much more fun game to watch? Because it's a rivalry between two SEC powers, both doing very well right now?

Dude, we got the night game at home. Why would you prefer a 2:30 timeslot? Blackout as well. This is the ideal scenario.

They did pick the wrong game, but not because of Mizzou, because the greatest college FB player of all time is having his last regular season game.
