If Orgeron isn't retained by USC, there's nothing he'd like better than to return to the SEC to redeem himself. He'd be a coach on a mission to be reckoned with.

My prediction? He's the next coach at LSU.

Perfect fit IMO. SC would be crazy not to hire that crazy son-of-a-bitch. Him leading the band last night with the Roman gladus was pure awesomeness.

Going to be interesting to see what happens w him.
USC players are starting to use his presence as leverage, in terms of whether they stay or leave.

Hiring Ed Orgeron would keep prospects from leaving

I say keep him. It seems like a good fit. He can recruit with the best of them and as long as he has good coordinators he should be able to do big things there.

Is it possible that USC wants to completely move on from the Pete Carroll era?

I don't see him sustaining anything there. He might win 9-10 a year because of talent, but he isn't going to be night and day from his experience at Ole Miss. This would be like West Virginia retaining Bill Stewart. An emotional reaction...

I want him back in the pros coaching along side Rob Ryan as defensive line coach and assistant head coach. Could you imagine Vitt, Ryan and O together?
