Pollack then mentions Julio Jones as an example to prove his point. The same Julio Jones who was beginning his NFL career when McCarron made his first start at Alabama.

ESPN doesn't know what they're talking about?
I'm shocked.

Hell, I feel this way about 95%-99.95 of QBs. It's a dumb statement. As if a QB is anything without an o-line/WR/blocking RBs.

I don't care if you feel that way, I'm not sure I don't. But using Julio Jones as an example of this is just as stupid as using David Palmer as an example.

Exactly, Julio had McElroy as his QB.

The rest of them basically told him he was a dumbass too.
I thought the Julio Jones example was in his comparison of AJ to Matt Ryan though...

100% corret. You could have had Star Jackson at QB and he would have done well behind that o-line. Nothing wrong with that, hell I would love to have that luxury

So Peyton is average because he's always had elite WRs to throw to? This is easily the stupidest argument analysts make concerning QB play.

Nick Saban said he thinks he's the best QB in the nation. I agree with him.

I'm not watching Gameday, but this would be a fairly accurate statement.

Bust? Wouldn't you have to be highly drafted to be a bust?

Yeah It's not like guys like Manziel are playing with a multiple first round draft picks on his offense
