Fbaum on Game Day = square peg, round hole

I'm sure it's been discussed but Paul has been on Gameday all year and, IMO, continues to struggle to fit into the broadcast group.
No sense of purpose for him being there, he doesn't do any special segments or provide a different viewpoint.
He looks uncomfortable not being able to be his snarky self and that round table segment is done so he can do that but it hasn't worked IMO.

Yet, people talk about him. That's why he's there.

What I'm talking about is the purpose and value of his appearances on the program.
If I'm the Gameday director, I'd have to figure out his purpose and then create more value out of his segments. Doesn't seem that this has been done effectively and Paul comes off as lost in this group.
He is someone that the program should be able to get more out of but they haven't figured out how best to do that.

The rest of the group clearly hates him and views him as the piece of trash that he is.
He cant mute desmond or corso and hang up on them, so his power is gone and he turns into a frightened little goblin.

Yep, he is awful. Wish that talking penis would go away for ever!

He certainly has trashed up Game Day. It is obvious his football knowledge is lacking, when he gets around people who know the game. However, he is a cookie cutter BSPN mouthpiece. Talk loud, thump your chest, and maybe people will think you know what you are talking about. Cowherd, Bayless, Fbaum, three pee's from the same pod.

Just a shite stirrer and the other guys hate him.

I use to listen to his shows when he was on Sirus. Put the callers aside and Paul can do some fantastic interviews.
But, Gameday has Wojoehowski (sp) for those features and Paul doesn't do human interest that well.

He disrupts the chemistry badly as would any human sized penis placed in that sort of setting.

I actually thought he had improved some today, looked somewhat comfortable for the first time.

It wasn't just Bama that made him famous.

I like him on there only because I think the main guys are all way too PC.

Who cares? Gameday had gotten pretty stale the past few years anyways, so at least they are trying new things this year and mixing it up. Not just with Finebaum, but with the Quarterback coach they bring on, crazier Guest Pick segments (Bill F'n Murray!), etc.
I like crazy Corso; and Pollack who is the only one to really give a strong opinion on the show; and Fowler is a great host. But Herbie and Desmond are just kinda vanilla.

I never thought I'd say this as an Auburn fan. Wait nevermind, I thought about it. I dislike Finebaum more than I dislike Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith.
Skip talks about things he knows nothing about. Skip and Finebaum like to stir the sh*t, and Smith just yells while he's talking, always. Like he's being defensive in an argument, when he's just talking.

Finebaum is on for one reason - to appeal to the bammers. ESPN would have Harvey Updyke do a segment each week if they could get away it.
It is what it is - get used to as long as they continue to win with no other school even a close second to their dominance.

ESPN is promoting their “ brand ” SEC Network.
Hell, I can't stand First Take or Mike & Mike, but ESPN is going to promote its product.
6 or 7 people is a little to much, especially when you are inserting an opinionist whereas most of th others just smile and agree with each other.
